The Mayor of Brava, the President of the "Mais Lusofonia" Association, together with the Representative of the Communities of the Cape Verde Embassy in Portugal, visited the IPCB to outline the details of a cooperation and partnership protocol. This protocol aims to facilitate the admission of Brava students to the IPCB, starting from the 2024-2025 academic year.

The protocol, which is scheduled to be signed before February 2024, will establish one or two reserved places for Brava students, in addition to special accommodation conditions provided by the IPCB. Brava City Council is committed to guaranteeing the payment of tuition fees and conducting the application process. In a joint effort, parents/guardians will take care of the food, while the "Mais Lusofonia" Association will offer support in facilitating integration and monitoring students.

A significant commitment is established, where students benefiting from the protocol commit to returning to Brava upon completion of their studies, thus contributing to the continued development of the island.

The Brava City Council highlights that, starting next year, the Bravense student with the highest academic score and exemplary behavior will have the unique opportunity to graduate from the prestigious Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco, in Portugal.

This protocol represents a notable step in promoting education and international cooperation, opening doors for the exchange of knowledge and experience between Cape Verde and Portugal. Those involved are optimistic that this partnership will have lasting impacts on the educational and socioeconomic development of the island of Brava.
